Big-D Construction continues to be leader in multi-family projects in the Midwest with the construction of the Grand &amp; Syndicate Street Apartments in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The project consists of 26 upscale apartment homes, 11,000 square feet of office space and about 4,000 square feet of retail.
The apartment building features luxury finishes, community rooftop spaces, heated parking, and outdoor decks. The apartment home options include one and two-bedroom apartments, one-bedroom townhomes, and one-bedroom plus den options.
Before construction on the new building could begin, Big-D crews had to demolish a couple of homes that were purchased by the developer on the corner of Grand Avenue and Syndicate Street. The four-story building consists of precast and wood frame. One level is dedicated to parking with approximately 40 stalls for residents and guests. The developer of the project, At Home Apartments, occupies most of the office space on the second floor.

Westminster College, a private liberal arts college in Salt Lake City, Utah, was founded in 1875, before Utah was even a state. At the time, there were just 27 students enrolled. Since then, the student population of the college, and the surrounding community of Sugarhouse, has grown exponentially. Currently, there are more than 2,700 students (undergraduate and graduate) enrolled at Westminster. In order to accommodate the increasing enrollment of students at the college, Westminster College worked with The Woodbury Corporation and Big-D Construction to construct a new student housing complex and mixed-use development.
